Dr.
Yared Hailemariam Asfaw is an Assistant Professor of Law at Debre Berhan
University, Ethiopia, with over 17 years of experience in legal scholarship,
practice, and public service. His expertise spans federalism, fiscal
federalism, constitutional law, sustainable development, mining law, electoral law,
administrative law, tax law, governance, and human rights. Dr. Yared is a
licensed attorney and legal counsellor in Federal and regional Courts and a
member of the Ethiopian Bar Association. He has served as a regional
prosecutor, zonal public prosecutor, and visiting lecturer, contributing
significantly to Ethiopia’s legal and anti-corruption frameworks, legal
education, and policy reform. Committed to advancing justice and sustainable
development, Dr. Yared’s interdisciplinary research addresses critical issues
in federalism and constitutional studies influencing both academic and
policymaking circles.
