– On June 15, 2017, Debre Berhan University proudly graduated 1,359 students
who earned their first and second degrees. The university's President, Dr.
Asmar Melese, delivered a heartfelt congratulatory message to the graduates,
their families, and the entire university community. He urged the graduates to
serve their nation with loyalty and dedication in their chosen careers. Dr.
Melese highlighted the university's commitment to becoming a leading
institution in applied education and research.
Of
the graduates, 1,108 were undergraduates while 251 held graduate degrees. The
ceremony was attended by university board members and esteemed guests.
Fatiha Ahmed: A Star Graduate with 37 A+ Grades

Berhan University, June 22, 2025 (June 15, 2017 E.C) – Among the graduates was Fatiha Ahmed, who distinguished
herself by earning two trophies for achieving an impressive 37 A+ grades.
Fatiha was recognized with the university's overall and top female graduate
awards, finishing with a remarkable 4-point score in her Economics studies.
Reflecting
on her achievement, Fatiha credited her success to hard work and expressed her
determination to continue striving for her goals. She emphasized her commitment
to furthering her education in order to better contribute to her country.
Fatiha also extended her gratitude to her teachers and family for their
unwavering support throughout her journey.
