Having been established in 2018, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resource has a record of 4 years of service as higher learning institute to Werabe University and it is one of the colleges established at the beginning in the Werabe University. The mission of the college is to accomplish the pillars (academics, research, community services and governance) in line with the priority areas of institution, nation and worldwide. Its vision is to see successful and preferable college in aforementioned pillars. The College has organized itself under four undergraduate such as Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Natural Resource Management and Plant Science by 504 students and 27 teaching staffs at the beginning. Currently, number of programs is increased to seven in undergraduate program and one MSc program to offers BSc and MSc trainings. These include BSc in Agricultural Economics, MSc in Agricultural Economics, BSc in Animal Science, BSc in Horticulture, BSc in Natural Resource Management, BSc in Plant Science, BSc in Rural Development and agricultural Extension and BSc in Soil Resource and Watershed Management. Currently, the College has 10 PhD candidates, 1 PhD holder, 60 MSc holders (lecturers) and 15 MSc candidates (graduate assistants) and the number of students available in BSc and MSc programs is 354 and 17 respectively. Agriculture touches the lives of every individual throughout the world. To answer pressing needs of ever increasing population, the college is committed to produce skilled professionals who can contribute for natural resource nurturing, crops and livestock productivity, agricultural extension, efficiency, marketing and value chain using fixed natural resources.
