Welcome
to the School of Nursing and Midwifery Academic and Service Directorate
at Debre Berhan University!
Since
our establishment in 2000 E.C. (2008/2009 G.C.), we have
remained deeply committed to excellence in nursing and midwifery education,
research, and clinical service. Guided by our five-year
strategic plan and annual plan aligned with national and institutional key performance indicators
(KPIs), we continuously strive to meet the evolving needs of the
healthcare system and our communities.
Our
School offers PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s programs that
prepare highly skilled and compassionate professionals dedicated to improving
health outcomes and promoting equity in care delivery. We are also actively
working toward the accreditation of our Comprehensive Nursing and
Midwifery programs, ensuring that our graduates meet the highest
national and international standards.
Research lies at the heart of what we do. We foster a culture of inquiry and innovation;encouraging our
faculty and students to conduct evidence-based research that
addresses real-world health challenges, informs policy, and enhances clinical
practice.
We
take great pride in our 100% student pass rate on national
licensure and exit examinations; an achievement that reflects our unwavering
commitment to quality education, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
With
dedicated leadership, teamwork, and a clear vision, we remain steadfast in our
mission to be a center of excellence in education, research, and
service, shaping the next generation of nursing and midwifery leaders
who will transform healthcare in Ethiopia and beyond.
