Welcome to Department of Sport Science, Debre Berhan University, Ethiopia

 The department is established in 2004 E.C. What began with a small, dedicated faculty has flourished into a robust department defined by its high-caliber human resources and a deep commitment to the revolution of sport science in Ethiopia  as a Legacy of Excellence in Sport Science

Today, our department is a dynamic hub of expertise that includes 2 PhD holders 3 Assistant Professors, 8 lecturer and 4 PhD candidates. Among these Sport professionals 6 are females. The staff of the department is professionally composed of Physical Education, Athletic Coaching (Football, Athletics, Handball, and Basketball), Sport Medicine, Sport Management, and Sport Nutrition. Still the academic environment is further enriched by 3 specialized technical staff and 1 laboratory attendant.
