Facilities & Services

The department provides state-of-the-art infrastructure and professional services designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world engineering practice.

Advanced Laboratories

Structural Engineering Laboratory

Load testing, material strength evaluation, beam/column analysis, and reinforced concrete experiments. Equipped with hydraulic testing machines, strain gauges, and structural testing frames.

Geotechnical Laboratory

Comprehensive soil testing including Atterberg limits, compaction tests (Proctor), CBR, permeability, and triaxial shear tests for soil classification and foundation design.

Hydraulics Laboratory

Fluid mechanics experiments, open channel flow visualization, flow meters, hydraulic bench setups, and hydrology modeling equipment.

Highway & Transport Laboratory

Pavement design tools, aggregate testing (Los Angeles Abrasion), bitumen tests, California Bearing Ratio (CBR), and road material classification.

Computer & Software Laboratory

Workstations with AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, HEC-RAS, STAAD Pro, Civil 3D, and GIS software for digital engineering coursework.

Surveying Equipment Center

Total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, digital levels, theodolites, and electronic distance measuring (EDM) equipment for field surveying courses.

Digital & Design Studios

The department's digital studios support advanced computation, BIM (Building Information Modelling), GIS mapping, and remote sensing alongside specialized civil engineering software used in structural, geotechnical, hydraulic, and transport design.
