I am pleased to share this message with you on behalf of the Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer (ILTT) Directorate.

According to Debre Berhan University Senate Legislation Article 171 (3), the purpose of Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer (ILTT) Directorate is to establish and strengthen partnership between the university and local industries to facilitate knowledge sharing, promote research and development, and provide students with practical experience and employability opportunities.

The major objectives of the ILTT Directorate are:

• To foster collaboration the academic and industrial sectors to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices.
• To support research and development by providing industry partners with access to university facilities and resources, as well as facilitating joint research projects.
• To provide students with opportunities to gain practical experience through internship, work placements, and industry-led projects.
• To contribute to the economic development of the local community by promoting innovations, entrepreneurship, and the development of a skilled workforce.
• To establish and strengthen partnership with local industries to create mutually beneficial relationships that support the goals of both the university and the industry partners.
• To develop programs and activities that promote knowledge sharing between the university and industries.
• To create a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing, innovation, and economic development through partnership between the university and local industries.

The Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer Directorate consists of four offices, namely:

1.      Technology Innovation, Incubation and Transfer Office,

2.      University-Industry Linkage (UIL) Office,

3.      STEM Center, and

4.      Students Career Development Center (SCDC).

We anticipate further enhancing our collaboration and cultivating impactful partnerships that promote innovation, knowledge sharing, and long-term sustainability. The Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer (ILTT) Directorate remains dedicated to advancing initiatives that connect academia and industry for shared progress and development.
