Announcement of Project Grant Award
Dear Members of the
University Community, We are delighted to share exciting news that a research
team from our university and Consortium Universities has been awarded a
competitive project grant for their proposal “Advancing Sustainable Animal Production and Biodiversity through
Equitable African–Danish University Partnerships (ASAP-Bio)”
The project is led by Dr.
Grum Gebreyesus from Aarhus University, Denmark, in partnership with our
university’s research team, coordinated locally by Dr. Bethel Geremew. The
grant has been awarded by the DANIDA Fellowship Centre under the DANIDA
Knowledge and Innovation Program (KIP), with a total project budget of
approximately DKK 36,000,000 shared among the consortium universities.
We extend our sincere
congratulations to Dr. Bethel Geremew and her dedicated team for this
outstanding achievement. Their success reflects the university’s strong
commitment to research excellence and International collaboration.

The project will officially commence soon under the leadership of the
project Principal Investigator PI and project coordinators. We extend our
