The Office of the Chief Executive Director (CED) serves as the highest executive authority on campus, holding ultimate responsibility for the overall administration and successful operation of the Mehal-Meda Campus. The CED's office is the central governing body that integrates and directs all strategic and operational functions.

Comprehensive Oversight and Management

The primary mandate of the office is to oversee and strategically manage every facet of the campus's function. This comprehensive oversight includes:

  • • Academic Affairs: Providing leadership and direction for all teaching, learning, and curriculum-related activities to ensure educational excellence.
  • • Research: Guiding and supporting the campus's research agenda, promoting innovation, and ensuring research activities align with institutional goals.
  • • Community Engagement Activities. Ensuring that all outreach efforts are fully integrated into the university's mission and operate with accountability.
  • • Administrative and Operational Affairs: Directing and coordinating all non-academic support services, infrastructure, and daily operations to ensure a functional and effective campus environment.

Direct Functional Management

In addition to strategic oversight, the CED's office is directly responsible for the management of key core resources that drive the institution:

  • • Financial Flows: Managing the campus budget, monitoring expenditure, authorizing major financial transactions, and ensuring the fiscal health and accountability of all funds.
  • • Human Resources (HR): Overseeing the management of the entire workforce, including strategic direction on recruitment, staffing levels, performance management, and overall employee development and welfare.
  • • Procurement: Directing the campus’s purchasing activities, ensuring that all necessary goods, services, and equipment are acquired efficiently, transparently, and in strict compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
  • • Overall Campus Activities: Ensuring synergy and coordination across all departments and units. This involves setting performance metrics, evaluating departmental effectiveness, and making final executive decisions regarding the direction and daily activities on campus.
